Delete your data

This page explains how to delete information that Rumidza holds, including information received through Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp.

If you are a business using Rumidza

1. To disconnect a Facebook Page, Instagram or WhatsApp account, open Settings → Channels and click Disconnect. Rumidza stops receiving data from it straight away.
2. To delete your whole account and all its data, email our contact form from your account’s email address with the subject “Delete my Rumidza account”.
3. We confirm within 5 working days and delete the data within 30 days. Backups are overwritten within a further 30 days.

You can also remove Rumidza from Facebook: go to Facebook → Settings & privacy → Settings → Business integrations, select Rumidza and click Remove.

If you messaged a business that uses Rumidza

Your messages are held on behalf of that business. Ask the business to delete them, or email our contact form with:

• the name of the business you contacted;
• the phone number, Facebook or Instagram name, or email address you used.

We will check the request with the business and confirm when your data has been deleted, normally within 30 days.
